OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS A NUMBER OF CONVENTIONAL RAILWAY LINES HAVE BEEN RETROFITTED FOR HIGH-SPEED TRAFFIC IN SPAIN, DURING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE RESEARCH PROJECT 80021/A04, MINISTRY OF FOMENTO, NATIONAL RESEARCH PLAN 2004-2007, THE RESEARCH TEAM OF THE PROJECT PROPOSED HEREIN HAS REALIZED A NUMBER OF NECESSITIES IN THE DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF BRIDGES LOCATED IN SUCH KIND OF LINES, THE PROJECT PRESENTED HERE ENDEAVORS TO ANALYZE SUCH NECESSITIES IN THREE PARTICULAR ASPECTS: (I) THE IMPORTANCE OF TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE ELASTIC BEARINGS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF SHORT-SPAN BRIDGES (L<20M); (II) THE VALIDATION OF THE ¿ADDITIONAL DAMPING METHOD¿ PROPOSED BY EUROCODE 1, WHICH IS A SIMPLIFIED MANNER OF TAKING INTO ACCOUNT VEHICLE-BRIDGE INTERACTION; (III) THE NECESSITY OF PROPOSING A METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE IMPACT COEFFICIENT FOR DESIGN OF THE TRANSVERSE REINFORCEMENT OF TWIN-U-SHAPED GIRDER BRIDGES, Dinámica de puentes de ferrocarril
