FRAMED FROM THE PRECEDING RESEARCH PROJECTS EUROEVIDMOD, EVIDISPRAG AND STANCEDISC, THIS RACISMMAFF PROJECT AIMS ITS RESULTS TO AFFECT THE EU UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS IMMIGRATION-RELATED DISCOURSE POSITIVELY, THUS PERMEATING EU SOCIETY. OUR GENERAL AIM IS TO INCREASE THE AWARENESS OF EU UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS ABOUT THEIR DISCURSIVE PRACTICES THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF THEIR USE OF STANCE MARKERS TO NEGOTIATE AND RENEGOTIATE THEIR POSITIONS TOWARDS IMMIGRATION-RELATED ISSUES, THUS INCREASING THEIR INTERCULTURAL CAPACITIES AND THEIR LEVELS OF EMPATHY TOWARDS THE DIVERSITY OF LANGUAGES, CULTURES, AND RACES THAT DERIVE FROM IMMIGRANTS RECEPTION IN EUROPE. THEREFORE, OUR MOST RELEVANT SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES ARE: I) REVIEW THE INTEGRATED FRAMEWORK FOR THE ANALYSIS OF EPISTEMICITY AND EFFECTIVITY FROM A CRITICAL DISCOURSE PERSPECTIVE DERIVED FROM PREVIOUS PROJECTS EUROEVIDMOD, EVIDISPRAG AND STANCEDISC AND EXPAND IT WITH THE ADDITION OF THE CATEGORY OF SPEECH REPRESENTATION; II) DETECT THE SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES IN THE DISTRIBUTION AND USE OF THE STANCE DEVICES CITED ABOVE IN THE EU IDEOLOGICAL SPECTRUM OF RIGHT TO LEFT IN THE SO-CALLED HEGEMONIC IMMIGRATION DISCOURSE OF OFFICIAL INSTITUTIONS, POLITICIANS AND JOURNALISTS; III) DEVELOP AND PATENT A FRAMEWORK AND RUBRIC FOR IMPLEMENTING AND ASSESSING AFFECTIVE AND CRITICAL LITERACY PRACTICES THROUGH WEBINARS AND WORKSHOPS FOR EU UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS FROM PARTICIPATING AND PARTNER INSTITUTIONS AIMED TO EXPOSE THEM TO SELF AND OTHERS IMAGES AND SELF AND HEGEMONIC IMMIGRATION DISCOURSE, THUS RAISING THEIR AWARENESS ABOUT LINGUISTIC STRUCTURES AND COMMUNICATIVE PRACTICES CONVEYING XENOPHOBIC IDEOLOGIES IN THE HEGEMONIC DISCOURSE OF INSTITUTIONAL, POLITICAL AND MEDIA POWERS AS IN THEIR OWN DISCOURSE, AND CONTRIBUTING TO ENHANCING THEIR INTERCULTURAL CAPACITIES AND THEIR LEVELS OF EMPATHY TOWARDS IMMIGRATION; IV) BASED ON THE RESULTS OBTAINED IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE SO-CALLED HEGEMONIC CORPUS, ANALYSE THE USE OF THE STANCE MARKERS UNDER STUDY TO NEGOTIATE AND RENEGOTIATE POSITIONS TOWARDS IMMIGRATION IN A SELF-COMPILED CORPUS OF EU UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS TAKING PART IN OUR WEBINARS AND WORKSHOPS AND SHARING THEIR REFLECTIONS BEFORE AND AFTER EXPOSURE TO SELF AND OTHERS IMAGES AND SELF AND HEGEMONIC IMMIGRATION-RELATED DISCURSIVE PRACTICES; V) DEVELOP MOOC BASED ON THE ANALYSIS OF THE OVERALL RESULTS OF THE PROJECT TO EMPHASISE THE RELEVANCE OF THESE RESULTS IN THE SOCIAL SPHERE, REACHING EU AND NON-EU STUDENTS AND PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS FROM PARTICIPATING AND NON-PARTICIPATING INSTITUTIONS. OUR ULTIMATE INTENTION IS TO PERMEATE SOCIETY IN THE LIGHT OF THE LATEST EFFORTS OF UNESCO TO INTRODUCE ALTERNATIVE PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES TO SUPPORT A GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION WHICH AIMS AT BUILDING FAIR, TOLERANT AND INCLUSIVE SOCIETIES, ALSO IN LINE WITH THE UNS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AIMED TO END POVERTY, PROTECT THE PLANET AND ENSURE PROSPERITY FOR EVERYONE BY 2030. WE SEEK TO COMBINE LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS AND PEDAGOGICAL APPLICATIONS TO INNOVATE AND GENERATE KNOWLEDGE IN OUR FIELD OF RESEARCH, INCORPORATING EPISTEMOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES, SUCH AS SOCIAL JUSTICE IN EDUCATION, TO ADDRESS AFFECTIVE-BASED PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES SUCCESSFULLY.
