Descripción del proyecto
Work Pilots Oy runs the service WorkPilots, which is a SaaS-based mobile-first on-demand job matching platform / service to provide 1) valuable practical work experience to those who need help to get into worklife, 2) easy way of hiring people for small on-demand tasks and 3) new models and innovative co-creation opportunities for municipalities and other stakeholders whose task is to help youth and solve youth unemployment. WorkPilots was launched in Finland with an iOS, Android and web version of the service in February 2016 with focus on young people. It is currently focusing on accumulating more workers and paying customers through scalable concepts and co-creation models with e.g. educational institutions, municipalities, NGO's and organizations (particularly those who value Corporate Responsibility). The service is operating in over 60 cities in Finland and has already attracted over 25,000 users and generated lots of good experiences how to create social impact. We feel that Our service is uniquely placed to help solve a major problem in almost all European countries - how to integrate young and other disenfranchised people into society and open low threshold paths to worklife. Key features that we have developed that directly help target this issue are: 1. Co-creation within partnerships and boosting the work done in local ecosystems 2. Differentiating by enabling a socially responsible model e.g. being a platform where not only the best performers get opportunities – but instead the more challenged youth get their opportunities as well and thus path to next steps, 3. Creating reliable technology supporting on-demand job matching, and 4. Easy models for organisations to find current and future workforce – with social responsibility in focus and workers to find work opportunities. The goal of the Phase 1 Feasibility Study is to develop a thorough business plan for European market uptake.
