Juan Ramón RICO-JUAN
Juan Ramón RICO-JUAN is a Doctor in Computer Science Engineering and a lecturer in the department of Software and Computing Systems at the University of Alicante. Regarding his experience as a researcher, his main interest is related to pattern recognition and machine learning (learning with structured data, editing distances, selection and generation of prototypes, deep neural networks, etc.) in which I have participated in 8 national projects that have resulted in 28 publications in high impact journals (JCR) and 17 in international conferences. As a teacher his experience has been mainly related to the area of programming and algorithms for optimizing calculations. In this sense I have participated in the implementation of an automatic delivery verification system (judge online) called Javaluador. I have also taught introductory subjects to computer science, in this sense and as a teaching research I have participated in 12 projects of different topics, making publications in national and international conferences about teaching and learning methodologies applied in class. His latest publications are related to the management and efficient control of work deliveries in crowded classes, automatic detection of plagiarized fragments and the development of a system to help the evaluation of complex/creative activities based on peer-assessment with rubrics and detection of atypical cases and incongruences. http://www.dlsi.ua.es/~juanra
