Salvatore Pernagallo
Salvatore has enjoyed a distinguished academic and industrial career in Italy, UK and Spain. He is a highly experienced scientist with a proven background in development and validation of novel game-changing solution for Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT). Skilful in screening tools to identify materials and create implant surfaces and scaffolds for tissue-engineering. Development of micro- and nano-systems for drug delivery. Author in more than 35 publications and book chapters covering the fields of nanotechnology, analytical chemistry and biomaterials. Invited speaker at more than 30 international scientific conferences for oral and/or poster communications. He is co-inventor on several relevant patents and co-founder of the Spanish biotech company NANOGETIC SL. He is coordinator of national and EU projects with highly multidisciplinary and multicultural teams and supervisor for industrial Master and PhD students.
