Rocío Silleras-Aguilar

PhD in Fine Arts (Cum Laude, UPV 2015). Expert in Plastic and Sound Art. Full scholarship in the Samsung Tech Institute's DesArrolladoras program, focused on Web Development, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data (2019-2020).For years she has been developing her work in education, artistic creation and university research. Member of the group De Irregularis Orchestra. Curator of the project ‘Un Minuto para Miguel Molina’. Creator of the RE(((SON)))ANCE project. For years she has exhibited her work in various national and international spaces (Spain, United Kingdom, Mexico), has collaborated in multiple University Research Projects and has been invited to give lectures, masterclasses and seminars at different Universities and Research Centers such as UPV , ETSIT-UPV, UB, EHU, IVAM, ESMAR, EUM-Valencia or CSIMP-UAM among others.Since 2009 she has collaborated in multiple university research projects, including the X-COV and ULTRACOV projects with the Complutense University of Madrid (where they develop medical image analysis tools with Artificial Intelligence), several projects with the Intermediate Creations Laboratory (LCI-UPV) and her collaboration in other projects carried out at the ETSIT-UPV. X-COV have received several awards. She also continues other current line of research focuses on the educational, mediational and therapeutic possibilities of sound art, adding transversally issues such as environmental, ecological, inclusive, technological and STEAM education. In fact, she is an ambassador for the STEAM Alliance, a project promoted by the Ministry of Education.She is partner of the Association of Women Researchers and Technologists (AMIT) and of the Responsible Research and Innovation Networked Globally (RRING).She is currently a university professor at the European University of Valencia (UE-Valencia) and at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).
