MODELIZACION PARAMETRICA DE PUENTES PARA APRENDIZAJE SUPERVISADO EN HERRAMIENTAS DE INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL THIS SUBPROJECT CAN BE FRAMED WITHIN A RESEARCH ORIENTED TO IDENTIFY THE STRUCTURAL HEALTH OF BRIDGES AND VIADUCTS IN SERVICE BY MEANS OF A NOVEL SYSTEM THAT CAN AUTOMATICALLY DETECT AND WARN OF ANOMALIES IN THEIR STRUCTURAL BEHAV... THIS SUBPROJECT CAN BE FRAMED WITHIN A RESEARCH ORIENTED TO IDENTIFY THE STRUCTURAL HEALTH OF BRIDGES AND VIADUCTS IN SERVICE BY MEANS OF A NOVEL SYSTEM THAT CAN AUTOMATICALLY DETECT AND WARN OF ANOMALIES IN THEIR STRUCTURAL BEHAVIOR. THIS SYSTEM IS FEASIBLE THANKS, ON THE ONE HAND, TO LOW-COST INSTRUMENTATION SOLUTIONS, PREVIOUSLY DEVELOPED BY THE RESEARCH GROUP, AFFORDABLE FOR CONTINUOUS MONITORING OF NON-SINGULAR STRUCTURES, SINCE IT HAS A PRECISION COMPARABLE TO THAT OF COMMERCIAL INSTRUMENTATION, ALTHOUGH ITS COST, BASED ON ARDUINO TECHNOLOGY, IS SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED. ITS FUNCTIONALITIES WILL BE EXPANDED TO CREATE A MODULAR MONITORING SYSTEM CAPABLE OF MEASURING ACCELERATIONS, ANGLES, TEMPERATURE, HYGROMETRY OR CORROSION UNDER SERVICE EXTREME CONDITIONS. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE RESEARCH GROUP HAS DEVELOPED A STRUCTURAL IDENTIFICATION, OR INVERSE ANALYSIS TOOL, THAT ALLOWS TO IDENTIFY STRUCTURAL PATHOLOGIES IN BRIDGES AND BUILDINGS BASED ON STATIC (DEFORMATIONS) OR DYNAMIC INFORMATION (MODES OF VIBRATION AND FREQUENCIES). THUS, BY MEANS OF INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) PROTOCOLS, BIG DATA COMING FROM STATIC AND DYNAMIC BRIDGE CONTINUOUS MONITORING ARE ANALYZED, SO, ONCE THE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE IS IDENTIFIED, AN ALARM CAN BE TRIGGERED TO ASK FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION, WHICH DEPENDING ON THE QUANTIFICATION OF THE DAMAGE, MAY INCLUDE VISUAL INSPECTION WITH OR WITHOUT NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING, LOAD TEST OR, LESS PROBABLY, THE CLOSURE TO SERVICE OF THE STRUCTURE.IN ORDER TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) WILL BE APPLIED TO DIGITAL TWINS WITH BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM). A SUPERVISED MACHINE LEARNING TOOL WITH WILL BE TUNED UP TO INTERPRET DATA FROM CONTINUOUS MONITORING TO DETECT ANOMALIES, SUCH AS LOSSES OF FLEXURAL OR AXIAL STIFFNESS.THIS SUBPROJECT IS IN CHARGE OF FEEDING THE AI TOOL, I.E. TO GENERATE THE DATA THAT IT NEEDS FOR ITS PROPER TUNE UP. FOR THIS PURPOSE, A PARAMETRIC BRIDGE MODELING SYSTEM WILL BE USED, IN ORDER TO MODEL BRIDGES OF THE SAME STRUCTURAL TYPOLOGIES, SPANS, MATERIALS, CROSS-SECTIONS, LONGITUDINAL ELEVATIONS AND FOUNDATIONS AS THE BRIDGES TO BE MONITORED. SINCE THE PROJECT IS ORIENTED TO MAKE CONTINUOUS MONITORING FOR NON-SINGULAR BRIDGES AFFORDABLE, MEDIUM SPAN BRIDGES WILL BE MODELLED.IN ADDITION TO UNDAMAGED BRIDGES, THE EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT PATHOLOGIES WILL BE ALSO SYSTEMATICALLY INTRODUCED INTO THE MODELS TO INFER THEIR STATIC AND DYNAMIC STRUCTURAL EFFECTS, IN ORDER TO GENERATE DATA AND STRUCTURE THEM SO THAT THE AI TOOL IS ADEQUATELY FED TO DETECT ANOMALIES. THE PATHOLOGIES TO BE INTRODUCED WILL CORRESPOND TO THE MOST FREQUENT CASES OF STRUCTURAL DAMAGE AND, OF COURSE, TO THOSE WITH THE MOST SEVERE STRUCTURAL CONSEQUENCES. THE MODELS WILL BE GENERATED BY USING AN UPDATED VERSION OF THE CODE SABRINA, A SOFTWARE PREVIOUSLY USED BY THE RESEARCH TEAM TO CARRY OUT PARAMETRIC STUDIES ABOUT COMPLEX BRIDGE TYPOLOGIES THAT DEPEND ON A GREAT NUMBER OF SIGNIFICANT PARAMETERS, SUCH AS NON-SYMMETRICAL CABLE-STAYED BRIDGES, SPATIAL ARCH BRIDGES, OR ECCENTRICALLY-SUPPORTED CURVED BRIDGES. IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE RESULTS, GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS WILL BE DRAWN ABOUT THE NUMBER AND LOCATION OF SENSORS, SO THAT THE COST OF THE CONTINUOUS MONITORING AND ITS EFFICIENCY IN IDENTIFYING AND QUANTIFYING DAMAGE CAN BE OPTIMIZED.
