DYNAMICAL PROCESSES, OF BOTH DETERMINISTIC AND RANDOM ORIGIN, ARE A FUNDAMENTAL FEATURE OF NATURAL SYSTEMS, THIS PROJECT AIMS TO APPLY METHODS DEVELOPED IN THE FRAMEWORKS OF STATISTICAL AND NONLINEAR PHYSICS AND STOCHASTIC DYNAMICS, TO A VARIETY OF CURRENTLY OPEN QUESTIONS IN PHYSICS AND IN BIOPHYSICS, INCLUDING NOVEL MOLECULAR MACHINES, CELL REGULATION AT MULTIPLE SCALES, BRAIN DYNAMICS, SOLIDIFICATION, TRANSPORT PROCESSES, COMPLEX FLUIDS, HEAT TRANSFER, FRACTURE, AND LASER DYNAMICS, THE PROJECT IS THE EXTENSION OF THE FORMER FUNDED PROJECT FIS2006-11452, AND AIMS TO CONTINUE AN EXPERIENCE IN COORDINATED PROJECTS THAT GOES BACK TO 1994 WITHOUT ANY INTERRUPTION IN FUNDING, THE MOST RELEVANT NOVELTIES WITH RESPECT TO FORMER PROJECTS ARE: (I) THE CONSOLIDATION OF A BIOPHYSICAL RESEARCH LINE TOWARDS MORE APPLIED TOPICS RELATED WITH MOLECULAR MACHINES AND CELLULAR REGULATION, (II) A SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE OF EXPERIMENTAL ACTIVITY IN BIOPHYSICS, FLUIDS AND MATERIALS, AND (III) THE EXTENSION OF THE TRANSPORT AND DIFFUSION STUDIES TO ADDRESS MORE RECENT AND INTERESTING TOPICS SUCH AS INVERSE SORTING OR MIXING AND ITS APPLICATION TO MICROFLUIDICS, AMONG OTHER ASPECTS, THESE OBJECTIVES WILL NEED A PARALLEL DEVELOPMENT OF METHODOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES IN NUMERICAL COMPUTATION, THEORETICAL NONLINEAR ANALYSIS, AND EXPERIMENTAL MONITORING OF DYNAMICAL PROCESSES, COLLABORATIONS WITH OTHER INTERNATIONAL RESEARCHERS, WHICH WERE VERY FRUITFUL IN THE PAST, ARE ALSO PLANNED IN THIS PROJECT, RELEVANT RESULTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE HIGHEST-PROFILE INTERNATIONAL JOURNALS, AS HAS HAPPENED IN FORMER PROJECTS OF THIS TEAM, THE TRAINING OF YOUNG RESEARCHERS WILL ALSO BE ONE OF OUR MAIN MILESTONES, AS HAS BEEN IN THE PAST, DINAMICA NO LINEAL\FLUCTUACIONES\RUIDO\BIOLOGIA DE SISTEMAS\SINCRONIZACION\REGULACION GENETICA\NEURODINAMICAver más
