To address the problems derived from synthetic additives, product formulators across the industry are actively scouting for new bio based, biodegradable & sustainable alternatives such as seed kernels, clay, silica, & modified starches/cellulose. While these new bioplastic solutions are improvements over the unnatural additives, the proposed solutions are neither biodegradable, nor have the ability to be customized to the particular product they are used in.
