Marta Vegas García graduated in Health Engineering with mention in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Málaga in 2019 and completed a Master in Molecular Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in 2020 from the university of Valencia, where during the academic year 2019-2020 she participated as a researcher in the 2DCHEM research group located at the Institute of Molecular Science and directed by Dr. Gonzalo Abellán Sáez. Specifically, her research focused on the development of antimonene-based nanobiomaterials for use in potential cancer therapies. In this research, she also collaborated with the cell culture department of the Hospital la Fe in Valencia.In 2021 she joined as a researcher at the Institute Technological Institute of energy (ITE) within the department of Applied Chemistry, New materials and Biotechnology. Her current research is focused on the development of enzymatic biofuel cells as part of the European project Watchplant, within the H202 framework.
