Dedicated to research on Green Technologies since 2002 when I finished my chemistry Bachelor, in 2003 I obtained a Master's degree on Ionic Liquid´s synthesis, characterization and applications, from the Institute of Science and Technology (Barcelona). Then I moved to Electrochemistry and, after coursing a Master (DEA) in Electrochemical Science and Technology, I took my PhD in electrochemistry applied to wastewater treatment (University of Barcelona, 2005-2010). During this period I worked on the development of novel environmental-friendly technologies to remove persistent organic pollutants (POPs) from aquatic environments. I have lead and collaborated on research projects with national and international groups related to Electrochemistry and Process Engineering. Since 2010, I perform my research at Fundación CIDETEC. I have been working on electrodeposition from Ionic Liquids leading several National and European projects (LIQUION, CENIT Spanish National Programme 2010-2013, PF7 project Scail-UP 2013-2016, ELKARTEK Al_Li+D 2017-2019, Basque County Programme), on modelling and simulation of electrochemical processes (ModeLAV 2018-2019, DFG and ELKARTEK FRONTIERS V 2018-2020) and on strategies to reduce hydrogen embrittlement on coated steels (PEU H2Free 2021-2023, Clean Sky2). Currently I work on project conceptualization and proposals preparation at the Documentation and Project Management (EU) department.
