Viciana-Abad, Raquel

Raquel Viciana-Abad received the PhD degree in 2009 and the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 2001 from the University of Málaga. In 2002, she joined as a research member the Advance Human-Machine Interfaces and Virtual Reality Laboratory (DIANA group), University of Málaga. Since 2005, she is an assistant professor in the department of Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Jaén. Her specific research interests include user centre design and evaluation of interaction techniques for virtual environments and training applications based on virtual reality, mainly regarding haptic feedback, multimodality and the sense of presence.Nowadays, she is a member of the research group Multimedia and Multimodal Processing (M2P) of the University of Jaén. Currently, her research interest is focused on multimodal human robot interaction. She has participated in national and European projects (FP6-2003-IST-2 INTIUTION -- Network of Excellence on VIrtual Reality aNd VirTUal Environments ApplIcaTIONs for Future Workspaces Network of Excellence, http://www.intuition-eunetwork.org/) based on designing and evaluating advance techniques for human computer interaction.
