Mauricio Correa
Mauricio Correa-Ramirez was born in Medellín (Colombia) in 1974. He received the degree of Electrical Engineer at the National University of Colombia (1998), a Specialization in Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Antioquia (2005) and a Master in Business Administration - MBA by the University of Viña del Mar in Chile (2013). With more than 20 years of experience working on projects in the area of electric power, both in the public sector (CREG Advisor - Regulatory Commission of Energy and Gas of Colombia) and in the private sector (Project Manager in the Engineering Consultant firm "Ingeniería Especializada S.A" in Colombia and Peru). Nowadays, he is a Research Assistant in the Smart and Sustainable Grids research unit of the Technological Research Institute (IIT) of the Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid where he works on the InteGrid project which is a European demonstration project in the area of smart electricity networks, as well as a student of the Doctorate Program in Electric Energy of the same University.
