Jaime Milla (MSc in Physics) obtained his degree in Physics in 2018 from the University of Zaragoza (Spain). His final degree project was developed at the University of Paderborn (Germany), where he carried out an Erasmus course. In this project, entitled "Simulation of quantum systems and circuits integrated optics", he used the QuTiP package for Python.During his Physics degree, he has carried out internships in two companies: Kampal Data Solutions, S.L. (a spin-off of the Institute of Biocomputing and Physics of Complex Systems of the University of Zaragoza) and Nabladot, S.L. In these companies, he provided technical support in developing research projects. After finishing his Physics degree, he carried out an MSc in Modelling and Research Mathematics, Statistics and Computing, which was given jointly by the University of Zaragoza, University of La Laguna, University of La Rioja, University of Oviedo and the University of Basque Country. He combined his MSc studies with an internship in Nabladot, SL., providing technical support for projects combining fluid simulation techniques and AI methods. He contributed with this expertise in AI models applied to CFD simulations. He concluded his MSc in Physics by June 2020. After that, Jaime Milla achieved a grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation to do his PhD thesis jointly in Nabladot, S.L. and the University of Zaragoza. In his PhD thesis, he will develop reduced-order models and machine learning techniques to obtain high-resolution wind forecasts.
