Arturo Colorado Castellary is Full Professor and Emeritus of "Art and Communication" at the Complutense University of Madrid. Doctor from the University of Alcalá, he has been a Visiting Researcher at the University of California (1995-96), at Purdue University (1997), at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2012) and at the Centro Nacional de Investigación, Documentación e Información de Artes Plásticas of Mexico (1919). He was Rector of the SEK University of Segovia from 2002 to 2006.Expert in Art, Cultural Heritage, Hypermedia and Digital Culture, he has been director of the Complutense research group “Museum I+D+C” and was Coordinator in Spain of the Network “E-CultureNet, European Network of Centers of Excellence for Research and Education in Digital Culture”. In turn, he has been Principal investigator 1 of the project “Investigación histórica y representación digital accesible. El patrimonio artístico durante la guerra civil y la posguerra”, subsidized by the State Program for the promotion of scientific and technical research of Excellence of the Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad.He is the author of several books, among which are “The Murals by José María Sert” (New York, 1985), “El Museo del Prado y la Guerra Civil” (Museo del Prado, Madrid, 1991), “Hipercultura visual, el reto hipermedia en el arte y la educación” (Síntesis, Madrid, 1997), “Del Arte rupestre al digital” (Síntesis, Madrid, 2013) and the trilogy on heritage, war and post-war published by the prestigious publishing house Cátedra of Madrid: “Éxodo y exilio del arte” (2008), “Arte, revancha y propaganda” (2018) and “Arte, botín de guerra” (2021).He has been director of several international Symposiums, such as CULTURTEC, organized in Madrid in 1998, 2000 and 2002, and co-director of ArTecnologia (Rio de Janeiro, 2012, and Madrid, 2013). In turn, he has directed the international congresses held at the Prado Museum, the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain and at the Complutense University entitled "Patrimonio, Guerra Civil y posguerra" (2010, 2017, 2019).He has been, in turn, Curator of several exhibitions, among which the so-called “Arte Salvado. 70 aniversario del salvamento del patrimonio artístico español y de la intervención internacional”, held on the Paseo del Prado in Madrid, 2010, organized by the Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Culturales and the Spanish Presidency of the European Union, and which in its itinerancy in various destinations he arrived in Geneva, at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire.Arturo Colorado Castellary es Catedrático y Profesor Emérito de “Arte y Comunicación” de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Doctor por la Universidad de Alcalá, ha sido Visiting Researcher en la University of California (1995-96), en la Purdue University (1997), en la Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2012) y en el Centro Nacional de Investigación, Documentación e Información de Artes Plásticas de México (1919). Experto en Arte, Patrimonio cultural, Hipermedia y Cultura digital, ha sido director de diversos grupos de investigación Complutense. “Museum I+D+C” y fue Coordinador en España del Network “E-CultureNet, European Network of Centres of Excellence for Research and Education in Digital Culture”. A su vez, ha sido investigador principal 1 del proyecto “Investigación histórica y representación digital accesible. El patrimonio artístico durante la guerra civil y la posguerra”, subvencionado por el Programa estatal de fomento de la investigación científica y técnica de Excelencia del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad.Es autor de varios libros, entre los que se encuentran “The Murals by José maría Sert” (New York, 1985), “El Museo del Prado y la Guerra Civil” (Museo del Prado, Madrid, 1991), “Hipercultura visual, el reto hipermedia en el arte y la educación” (Síntesis, Madrid, 1997), “Del Arte rupestre al digital” (Síntesis, Madrid, 2013) y de la trilogía sobre patrimonio, guerra y posguerra publicada por la prestigiosa editorial Cátedra de Madrid: “Éxodo y exilio del arte” (2008), “Arte, revancha y propaganda” (2018) y “Arte, botín de guerra” (Cátedra, Madrid, 2021). Ha sido director de varios congresos internacionales, como CULTURTEC, organizados en Madrid en 1998, 2000 y 2002 y codirector de ArTecnologia (Rio de Janeiro, 2012, y Madrid, 2013). Ha dirigido a su vez, los congresos internacionales celebrados en el Museo del Prado, Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España y en la Universidad Complutense titulados “Patrimonio, Guerra Civil y Posguerra” (2010, 2017, 2019). Ha sido, a su vez, Comisario de varias exposiciones, entre las que destaca la denominada “Arte Salvado. 70 aniversario del salvamento del patrimonio artístico español y de la intervención internacional”, celebrada en el Paseo del Prado de Madrid, 2010, organizada por la Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Culturales y la Presidencia española de la Unión Europea
