Fernando Lobo

Fernando Lobo obtained his "Licenciatura" (MSci) in Chemistry in 2008, with the third best academical record in his year. Later, he developed his PhD in Organic Chemistry at the "Instituto de Química Orgánica General" (General Organic Chemistry Institute) of the Scientific Research Spanish Council, under the supervision of Prof. J. Cristóbal López and Dr. Ana M. Gómez.In 2015 he joined the company Biosigma SL at the Canary Islands to start a new commercial line of fine chemicals, and in 2016 obtained a Torres Quevedo scholarship to fund his contract.Since 2019, Fernando Lobo is an Agustin de Betancourt postdoctoral researcher at Universidad de La Laguna, Canary Islands. His postdoctoral program is dedicated to the transfer of research to industry. His current research is dedicated to the development of new chemical and biotechnological reagents with interest in diverse areas such as agriculture, nutraceutics, R&D of pharmacy.
