Salvador Ceballos

Salvador Ceballos received the M.S. degree in physics from the University of Cantabria, Santander, Spain, in 2001, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from the University of the Basque Country, Bilbao, Spain, in 2002 and 2008, respectively. Since 2002 he has been with Tecnalia Research and Innovation, where he has developed multiple projects focused on the development and control of power electronics mainly for renewable energy applications, HVDC transmission systems and power systems with high penetration of power converters. Salvador has co-authored more than 150 papers in journals and international conferences, 2 patents, 2 copyright software licenses and 4 books chapters. He has co-organized 5 special sessions for IEEE international conferences focused in multilevel converters and a special section for the IET Power Electronics journal. Besides, he has been an Invited Visiting Researcher with the HMRC (Hydraulic and Maritime Research Centre) University College Cork (UCC), Ireland (05/2008-05/2009), with the Australian Energy Research Institute, UNSW, Sydney, Australia (11/2014-05/2015), with SINTEF Energy, Trondheim, Norway (3/2017-05/2017) and with the Energy Research Institute (ERI@n), NTU, Singapore (1/2020-08/2020).
