From 2013 to 2016 Dr.Albert carried a Postdoc at the Telecommunications engineering school of Universidad Diego Portales, Santiago de Chile. This project was aimed on wireless channel modelling of 60GHz short-range wireless communications focused on wireless channel modelling of 60GHz wireless communications for the uses cases of the next generation IEEE 802.11ad or 5G cellular communications. From 2010 to 2013 Dr.Albert was researcher at R&D department of WorldSensing company providing a mutual feedback between the research insights and industrial worlds. He obtained his Master degree in 2010 in Design of Telecommunication Systems and his degree in Telecommunications in 2008 provided by the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. From 2009 to 2010 he was a member of the Signal Processing Communications and Navigation Group at the Univerity. During this time, he carried research tasks focused on tracking and positioning techniques for traffic applications based on Wireless Sensor Networks. Additionally, he developed a tracking simulator under an urban environment and validated his tracking algorithm with an experimental campaign. From 2007 to 2008 he was a member of the same research group. During this time, he focused on evaluating and comparing wireless broadband technologies (IEEE 802.16-2004 with IEEE 802.11a) as wireless local loop access solutions for rural environments. He holds a conference and three journals. His research interests include antennas, wireless channel modelling and propagation, and Medium Access Layer techniques for IoT, mmwave communications and other kind of wireless-wired communications technologies.
