Antonio Muñoz

Antonio Muñoz Fernández was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1984. In September 2008 he joined Nazario Martin´s group and started his PhD, under supervision of Prof. Beatriz Illescas and Prof. Nazario Martín. He obtained with IMDEA-Nanociencia a research grant, researching about Water-Soluble Fullerenes and Chemical Modification of Fullerenes and Carbon Nanotubes for Biological and Pharmaceutical Applications. He obteined PhD degree in 2014. After a postdoctoral period at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Antonio was joined at YachayTech University (Ecuador) as the youngest chemistry lecturer. Now Antonio is a Postdoctoral researcher at Rey Juan Carlos University, working on MOF and COF as novel materials for catalysis and gas absortion.In the end of 2019 Antonio joined at Polimerbio SL as Senior Scientific, focused in the development of new biofunctional polymer-based materials.
