Nerea Markaide
I got my Degree in Technical Industrial Engineering in Chemistry at University of Basque Country (Spain) in 1990 and Master Degree in Industrial Environmental Management in 1994. I worked as researcher at Inasmet R&D Center in San Sebastian, in the Department of Composite Materials between 1990 and 2010, participating and leading more than 30 private, national and European projects (e.g. PROFIRECOMP-FP3, OMUR-FP5, LAYSA-FP7, etc.) mainly related to thermoset matrix (nano)composite materials and their processes. In 2010 I moved to Gamesa Eólica S. A. in Pamplona (Spain), where I worked as a senior engineer in the Composite Department of the Materials Division during 3 years. In 2013 I moved to CIDETEC as senior researcher, where my research interests are focused on the processing and characterization of composites with tailored properties. I am participating in various H2020 European projects (TRASH-2-CASH, AIRPOXY). I am co-author of 16 scientific papers and divulgative articles referring technology of (nano)composites for space, naval, aircraft, railway, etc.
