Ferrer Simó is a PhD researcher, translator and entrepreneur in the translation services field. After a research period under a Monbusho Scholarship at the University of Tokyo she published Japonés para Gente Manga (Norma Ed.) She started her own business in translation by founding Traducciones Imposibles in 2003, followed by VOSE Subtitles & Accessibility and Red Comet Media, specialising in game localisation, thus covering most of the translation fields related to the media & entertainment.Her research interests are cross-media and translation, translation as a professional service, multimedia & audiovisual translation and reception of translation in the entertainment field. She has published several research papers on these subjects.
