Ana Quijano Quijano

BSc in Environmental Science and MSc in Research in Engineering for the Agroforestry Develop-ment by the University of Salamanca and University of Valladolid, respectively. Since 2013, she is working in the Energy Division of CARTIF as researcher in the field of the city planning and evaluation of demonstration projects to develop Nearly Zero District and energy efficiency in Smart Cities. She has worked in several Lighthouse projects financed by the H2020 EU program like MAtchUP, mySMARTLife, SmartEnCity and REMOURBAN as well in FP7 projects such as CITyFiED, R2CITIES, CommonEnergy and BRICKER. Additinally, she has been working in the Biofuels Area of CARTIF for 7 years, leading and participating in several National and European R&D projects on technologies for energy valorisation of biomass and develop plastic composites with biomass fibres. Also, she has taken part of the Management Committee in the Cost Action FP1205 about the innovative applications of regenerated wood cellulose fibres.
