Phd Chemistry from the University of Oviedo in 2009 with an Outstanding Cum Laude result and Extraordinary Doctorate Award for the doctoral thesis entitled "Development of new nickel-doped carbon materials for hydrogen storage" carried out at INCAR-CSIC in Oviedo. Graduated in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country in 2004. During her pre-doctoral period, she actively participated in projects financed by the Ministry of Science and Technology related to the design and use of carbon materials for their application in energy storage and has made different stays in national and international centers of recognized prestige.She is the author and co-author of more than 20 articles in international journals and has numerous communications in different congresses both of an international and national nature and also of a Spanish patent. She joined the Department of Applied Chemistry and New Materials of the Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía (ITE) in 2009. Currently her lines of research are focused on the development and characterization of new materials for their application in energy storage systems, mainly in batteries. of lithium (Li-ion and polymers) and supercapacitors as well as their integration in laboratory scale prototypes. Within this theme, it is worth highlighting her participation in projects on lithium batteries such as the 7th framework program “Development of novel SOlid Materials for high power lithium polymer BATteries (SOMABAT). Recyclability of components ”in which the Technological Institute of Energy (ITE) was the coordinator, as well as other projects such as H2Alrecycling. She has also worked in various research projects of the institute such as ALMAGRID, CircularCarbon, MatER, SMARTH2PEM, SILECTRIC-LL and H2ALRECYCLING.She is the ITE representative in the Spanish Hydrogen and Battery Platform - PTE HPC, Materplat, BatteryPlat (Plataforma Española de Baterías, EMIRI - Energy Materials Industrial Research Initiative and of the New and Emerging Battery technologies working group of the European Technology and Innovation Platform ( ETIP) "BatteRIes Europe", working group Storage technologies and interfaces sector of the European Technology and Innovation Platform Smart Networks for Energy Transition ETP SmartGrids (ETIP SNET)
