Brian Jiménez-García
Researcher and research software engineer. My main interests are artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, macromolecular docking and interactions, scientific software development and high performance computing.I obtained my degree in Computer Sciences from UPC BarcelonaTech in 2008, worked in the private sector until 2010, date in which I started my PhD in Bioinformatics (Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Universitat de Barcelona), defending my thesis in 2016 with a final grade of Cum Laude. During my studies and research, I had the opportunity to specialize one year at the EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) in swarm intelligence and biocomputing, and becoming a visitor student at the National Institute of Biomedical Innovation in Osaka, Japan. From 2018 to 2021 I was a postdoctoral researcher at BonvinLab. At the moment, I am a senior researcher at Zymvol Biomodeling and I am also a course instructor at the UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) in the UOC-UB MSc in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics.
