Jon Ander Altamira
Jon Ander Altamira began his professional career at Tecnalia in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, giving technical support to designers in the field of mechatronic conception of high dynamic servo mechanisms. During this period, he frequently handles CAD software and occasionally MEF software and advanced multibody simulation. Later his scope of work evolves towards research projects in the field of start-up processes and their interaction with the structure of the machines to deal with vibration problems, becoming part of the Processes Department, where it participates in the development of new processes such as waterjet micro-cutting or additive manufacturing. He complements its research in the conception of new production systems, within the current Tecnalia Advanced Manufacturing Area, with the execution of different types of experimental tests, such as modal analysis, vibration measurements, machine calibrations, thermal tests, noise testing and process monitoring. For this purpose, he uses different types of measurement and analysis equipment, integrating different types of sensors. He has actively participated in numerous R&D projects with both public and private funding.
