Xavier Ribes Guàrdia
Xavier Ribes is an associate professor and Director of the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, Autonomous University of Barcelona). He was the Deputy Director of the Department from 2009 until 2012 and Rector's Comissioner for the Information Society from 2012 until 2016. As a research investigator, Xavier Ribes is a senior member of the Grup de Recerca en Imatge, So i Síntesi (GRISS, Image, Sound, and Synthesis Research Group) at the UAB and member of Centre d'Estudis I recerca per a una Societat Inclusiva (CERSIN, Research Centre for an Inclusive Society). His main research fields are in Internet, Radio, Interactivity and Technological Innovations in the mass media.
