HORIZON-EUROHPC-JU-2023-QEC-05-01: European Quantum Excellence Centres (QECs) in applications for science and industry
The creation of European Quantum Excellence Centres aims to accelerate quantum-oriented applications in science and industry, developing a high-performance, scalable application base. These centers will offer services, training, and capacity building to drive quantum adoption, foster collaboration, and enhance competences across Europe, focusing on technology-agnostic quantum applications.

Objetivo
The objective of the call is to establish two European Quantum Excellence Centres (QECs) focusing on applications in science and industry. These centers will serve as hubs for accelerating the discovery and adoption of quantum-oriented applications, creating a quantum-literate ecosystem through training, collaboration, and the development of new quantum applications and software platforms. The funded projects will develop platform-agnostic applications and software, enhance existing applications, and collaborate with EuroHPC quantum computing infrastructure to deploy robust and reliable quantum applications. They will also focus on skills development, collaboration, testing, deployment processes, and engaging with a wide user community to ensure the uptake of quantum technologies. Additionally, the projects will work towards achieving clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the effective utilization of quantum technologies, aligning with TRL 4-5 at the project's start and aimi... ver más

The proposals are expected to integrate with existing European projects, particularly from the Quantum Technologies Flagship initiative, and establish synergies with other relevant European initiatives and funding programs. ver menos
