Descripción del proyecto
Although the use of encryption in the business is increasing, most of the data are still stored unencrypted. Companies apply improved security measures but still suffer from cyberattacks and data breaches. Even though hardware security modules (HSM) are the most secure options in cryptographic processing and key management, they are expensive, and their usage is limited to large entities.
I4P Ltd. has developed the world’s first multi-party HSM module, which can distribute encryption keys on several devices, thus significantly reducing the security risk. Built on this HSM, I4P develops a scalable cloud-based system (TRIDENT ELASTIC HSM PLATFORM), which offers the most comprehensive crypto security services even for users with a single, entry-level HSM device.
Trident platform competes both with the HSM manufacturers (e.g., Thales, nCipher, Utimaco) and the cryptographic service providers (e.g. Google, Microsoft). However, it is well-positioned with the multi-party HSM-based unique service offerings, such as the on-demand performance increase or capacity renting. Besides the large enterprises and organizations, the Trident Platform will be a perfect solution for the more cost-sensitive SMEs.
Although HSM-BASED SOLUTIONS are still considered a niche market, it is one of the fastest-growing IT market segments with a CAGR of 10.9%, and an expected 1 billion volume by 2022. The use of HSM is expected to double within the next 12 months.
The REVENUE comes from the sale of the HSM units and the Platform services to the value-added distributors. The revenue target for 2026 targeted €15.8M.
In the SME Phase 1 project I4P would like to assess the business viability of the service platform and validate the final scalable service options to prepare the phase 2 projects.
The team with 60+ years of experience in the IT security industry, and headed by Mr. Zsolt Rózsahegyi, founder of NetLock Ltd, is perfectly aligned to achieve success at the global market.
