Descripción del proyecto
EU-SOLARIS aims to create a new legal entity to explore and implement new and improved rules and procedures for reserach infrastructures (RI) for Solar Thermal Electricity (STE) technology, in order to optimise RI development and RTD coordination. According to what was communicated by ESFRI, EU-SOLARIS is expected to be the first of its kind, where Industrial needs and private funding will play a significant role.
15 partners (13 Scientific,1 Ministry and the EU STE Industry Assoc.) representing 11 EU countries are participating covering all the modes and Technologies of Solar Energy Concentrating Systems.
The success of this initiative-specifically addressed during the PP-will be the establishment of a new governance body, aided by sustainable financial models. The following actions will be included: developing and determining all necessary arrangements for hosting the new legal entity; developing the collaborative model between public and private entities and fostering the collaboration between industry and research centres; establishing one access point and clear rules for users; preparing all the necessary mechanisms to secure sustainable financial resources; defining appropriate systems for knowledge and IPR management; coordinating the efforts of the participating infrastructures around Europe; establish joint future development of research facilities; elaborating effective rules for the dissemination of project; and finally assessing the impact of the new EU-SOLARIS RIs and the deployment of STE technologies for a sustainable development.
