Descripción del proyecto The Tecnalia’s International Fellowships for Experienced Researchers (TIFER) Programme is a 4 year new programme under the Marie Curie Action (PEOPLE-COFUND) to foster and consolidate the European Research Area (ERA) by attracting talented researchers and developing their careers. The TIFER Programme has 2 mobility schemes. The incoming scheme will offer 61 fellowships for experienced researchers, to develop during an average of 23 month their freely proposed research projects with Tecnalia’s research teams and facilities. The out-going scheme will offer 24 fellowships of 1 year plus a return period of 6 months. There will be 3 international Calls for Researchers (2 in Year 1 and 1 in Year 2). The Selection Committee will have an adequate gender, origin, and background balance to ensure to applicants equal opportunities, including for resuming a research career after a break, and a transparent selection process. The size of Tecnalia (more than 200 doctors and around 1.650 employees), its multidisciplinarity, and the size of its 17 research units within 7 fields and several facilities, demonstrates sufficient critical mass to host researchers in a wide range of Scientific and Technological fields. As a reference of Tecnalia’s international activity, Tecnalia is actually involved in 169 FP7 projects (34 as leader). Since its creation Tecnalia is increasingly employing international researchers and currently employs 60 foreign researchers from 22 nationalities. The TIFER Programme will suppose an enormous boost for Tecnalia in its aim to become a reference research organization of the ERA.The TIFER Programme, with 61 new foreign researchers, will double the number of foreign researchers in only 3 years. Tecnalia is fully committed to further development of the TIFER programme after its first 4 years.
