Descripción del proyecto
The Researchers’ Night in Piedmont and Aosta Valley has been for all past editions a regular appointment for the different publics of science. The 2012 edition will be organised on past experiences and activities established in the different venues with important novelties but not only.
Indeed, the acronym SHARE could be the flagship for a new venture to be shared throughout Italy and Europe on the basis of the single organisers best practices. Exchanging activities and sharing of goals will strengthen even more the spirit of this important European event.
The SHARE process will start in Piedmont and Aosta Valley, where the Partners have identified the best initiatives that will be exchanged between the different locations, and then will be extended to Italy and Europe thanks to a dedicated website.
The Night in Piedmont will be also an opportunity to actively take part in the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All declared by the UN for 2012. Specific initiatives, games, public engagement activities will be organised on this issue. The energy topic will also be a chance to better involve the industrial world and put it in touch with researchers and general public.
In terms of activities for the second year will be organised Pizza with the Prof, an informal meeting between students and researchers in front of a good pizza. New for 2012 will be the Coffee corner for science, short multimedia presentations of researchers followed by discussions with public in front of a coffee or a beer.
And then games, experiments, exhibitions, talk-shows, music and much more thanks to the involvement of more than 500 researchers.
The European dimension of the event will be provided by the usual participation of the Ispra JRC, CERN and Enterprise Europe Network but will be strengthened by collaboration with the Smart Cities and PLACES projects in which the city of Torino is deeply engaged. The appointment is for September 28, 2012 in Piedmont and Aosta Valley.
