HE SUBMITTED PROJECT IS PRETENDED TO CONTINUE ONE PREVIOUS PROJECT WHICH IS STILL IN THE LAST YEAR, THE FINAL AIM OF THIS PROJECT IS TO OBTAIN A CLOSED SYSTEM OF HYDROGEN PRODUCTION AND STORAGE BASED ON HYDROGEN GENERATION FROM WATER PHOTOELECTROLYSIS AND ITS STORAGE AS A METAL HYDRIDE, THE PROJECT IN COURSE IS NOW IN ITS FINAL PART IN WHICH THE PROPOSED MATERIALS ABILITY FOR WATER PHOTO-SPLITTING IS BEING EVALUATED, IN THE SUBMITTED PROJECT WE PROPOSE TO OPTIMIZE THE MATERIAL PROPERTIES (BY DOPING AND CHANGING THE MORPHOLOGY AND THE SOTICHIOMETRIC RATIO) TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE HYDROGEN PHOTO-PRODUCTION REACTION, FOR HYDROGEN STORAGE, WE PROPOSE THE USE OF A NEW TERNARY INTERMETALLIC ALLOY WITH A COMPOSITION MG6(NI1-XPDX), THIS ALLOY HAS BEEN DISCOVER BY OUR GROUP IN THE FRAME OF THE PREVIOUS PROJECT AND REPRESENTS A VERY INTERESTING PLAYGROUND TO TEST THEORETICAL PREDICTIONS OF HEAT FORMATION DECREASE OF MGH2 WHEN THIS COMPOUND IS ALLOYED WITH OTHER METALLIC ELEMENTS,THERE ARE TWO MAIN OBJECTIVES WE PLAN TO REACH IN THE PROJECT IN RELATION TO HYDROGEN STORAGE; ONE IS RELATED TO POSSIBLE NEW STABLE AND METASTABLE PHASES IN THE MG-PD-NI, THE SECOND ONE IS AIMED TO GET MORE INSIGHT INTO THE DISPROPORTIONATION REACTION WHICH TAKES PLACE IN THE HYDRIDES OF THIS TYPE OF COMPOUNDS AND TO FIND METHODS TO AVOID IT, ENERGÍA\HIDRÓGENO\FOTOGENERACIÓN\ACUMULACIÓN\HIDRUROS\CALCOGENUROS\PELÍCULA DELGADA
