Descripción del proyecto
The Researchers 2.0 proposal consists in two different activities which are very relate to each other. First, two main Events on the 25th September 2009, which will gather around 5000 people, organised by two public Universities in Spain: Girona (UdG - Catalonia) and Murcia (UMU - Murcia Region. Satellite activities will also be organized at Figueres (Catalonia) and Cartagena (Murcia Region). Second, an Event 2.0 activities based on Web 2.0 tools, which will help to disseminate the 25th event. The main objective of the project is to enhance the recognition of researchers and their role in society, focusing in one of their mission: as a communicator of their research. For this purpose, the Communicative facet of researchers will be used to bring them closer to the large public, presenting researchers as common people, to which the public will be identified with, and convince young people to embark on scientific careers. Researchers belong to the Society of Knowledge and should be confident in the use of social networking tools, which will be fostered to increase public awareness of Researchers' activities. As the existing tools Science 2.0, Society 2.0 or Web 2.0., Researchers using all this web 2.0 tools should be known as RESEARCHERS 2.0., which belong to the Communication of Scientific Culture 2.0. The Events will be implemented using different activities which will take place before and after the 25th Researchers’ Night. The activities to be performed are the following: - Be a Researcher 2.0: - Decathlon - Get-together - Drawing a Researcher - Poster Competition - Who is who 2.0
