Descripción del proyecto
Railways, road transport vehicles, wind turbines, manufacturing plants, all need targeted, adequate lubrication in order to function. At the same time, we are striving for greater protection of the environment. There is a push for ever greater efficiency, a move towards ecological products.
Igralub and Graphenica lab are joining forces to develop a new field of products. Products that can sense the quality of the lubrication film from within. To do this, we want to apply the unique sensing properties of Graphene to the Tribology field. Our aim is to reduce the quantity of and reliance on oil based lubrication, to assist in the move to ecological lubricants. We want to drive a real breakthrough for lubrication.
The market is vast with us targeting initial sales in the railway sector of 6M€ after 4 years from Market entry and increased employment across our joint venture of at least 12 additional employees by 2025. We propose an SME Instrument phase 1 project to assist us with a client-side pilot for the technology, as well as increased research regarding needed stakeholders and our overall business planning.
