Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software is used to simulate the flow of liquid and gases around objects for optimization of aerodynamic properties, design of cooling systems, and for detecting errors in design before proceeding to production. These software packages require very powerful and expensive supercomputers. A single simulation could take days to finish and as such, simulation throughput is limited while costs are high.
Pacefish is a revolutionary CFD software which is tailored to the massively-parallel architecture of graphics processing units (GPUs), resulting in 20 times improvement in performance.
