CELL REGULATION IS ORCHESTRATED BY THE CROSS-TALK OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF MOLECULES SUCH AS DNA, RNA, MICRORNAS, PROTEINS, ETC. THESE MOLECULES BUILD UP THE HARDWARE USED BY THE CELL TO IMPLEMENT THE REGULATION MECHANISMS. INDEPENDENTLY OF THEIR TYPE, THE INSTRUCTIONS OF HOW TO BUILD SUCH MOLECULES ARE WRITTEN IN THE DNA CODING REGIONS, AND THE INSTRUCTIONS OF WHEN TO BUILD THE MOLECULES ARE WRITTEN MAINLY IN NON-CODING REGIONS SPREAD GENERALLY ACROSS PROMOTERS AND ENHANCERS. THUS, THE DNA CODIFIES THE SOFTWARE OF THE REGULATION PROCESS. WE CAN CONSIDER THE DNA AS THE SOFTWARE OF A UNIVERSAL TURING MACHINE THAT CODIFIES THE INSTRUCTIONS, AMONG OTHER THINGS, OF BUILDING ITSELF, KEEPING UP AND RUNNING, SELF-REPAIR AND SELF-DISMANTLE. KEY ELEMENTS TO ACHIEVING SUCH WIDE RANGE OF FUNCTIONS ARE THE EPIGENETIC MARKS THAT DEFINE THE FUNCTIONS OF THE DNA PROGRAM TO BE READ IN EACH MOMENT.TO HELP EPIGENETICS STUDIES THERE ARE PROJECTS SUCH AS THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF DNA ELEMENTS (ENCODE) (HTTPS://WWW.ENCODEPROJECT.ORG/) AND THE HE NIH ROADMAP EPIGENOMICS PROJECT (HTTP://WWW.ROADMAPEPIGENOMICS.ORG/), THESE ARE INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUMS PROVIDING AN INVALUABLE QUANTITY OF EPIGENOMICS DATA SETS FROM DIFFERENT CELL TYPES AND A USER-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THEM. THERE ARE INDEED EPIGENETICS ENCYCLOPEDIAS IN THE SENSE THAT IT IS A REFERENCE WORK PROVIDING SUMMARIES OF EPIGENETICS KNOWLEDGE AND DATA. HOWEVER, WHAT IS MISSING IN IT IS A POCKET DICTIONARY OF EPIGENETIC DNA WORDS THAT HELPS NOT ONLY TO NAVIGATE EASILY THROUGH ALL THE DATA, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, TO PROVIDE THE BASIC DNA WORDS THAT RULE THE EPIGENETIC REGULATIONS AND THEIR POSSIBLE REGULATORY MEANING. SUCH DICTIONARY COULD BE A HIGHLY VALUABLE TOOL TO FACILITATE THE USE CRISPR/CAS9 TECHNIQUES TO CHANGE CELL FATE IN CELLULAR REGROGRAMMING EXPERIMENTS OR TO CHANGE THE HEALTH CONDITION IN GENE THERAPY.
